The 2026 W.E Bingham Scholarship Essay Contest is now open the eight high schools within DeSoto County, MS. Please contact your schools counselor or visit www.desotoques.com for the Application Packets. All applications should be postmarked or emailed no later than April 12, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Resident: Must be a DeSoto County resident.
- Grade Level: Must be a graduating senior at a DeSoto County secondary school.
- GPA: Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Essay Requirement: Complete an application and submit a 500-750 word essay.
Scholarship Award Amounts:
- 1st Place: $1000.00
- 2nd Place: $500.00
- 3rd Place: $300.00
